With temperatures hitting the high 20's centigrade, the people of Peterborough Cambs gave Olympic Bronze and Silver Medalist Louis Smith a hero's welcome as he was paraded around the City Centre atop an open topped double decker bus. He then took the time to sign autographs spending an hour with the people that welcomed him before moving off to continue his tour of the City.

Picture was taken on a sunny day in Skegness. It was quite chilly and we both got a nice little sunbrun. But the newly bought hats protected our head at least. *haha*

Nothing like setting off on a sunny Sunday morning to go and look at some cars, gotta admit we saw a plenty of cars and we even met Thomas the Tank Engine. Ok we had to dodge a shower but the top picture allowed us to get some great after shower shots.

This beautiful little lady is a 1969 VW Karmann Ghia, we were having a little break in town one sunday afternoon and I glanced up a side street and saw this parked up. How could I resist? I was told her vital statistics by a very nice lady, who introduced herself as Marilyn (as in Monroe).

This is St.Johns Church in Peterborough, we walked out of the Queensgate Shoppping Centre this is the scene that greeted us. I couldn't resist, especially as the weather vanes showed up so well against the leaden sky...

A little blast from the past at the Heritage Festival in Peterborough, History was brought alive by re-enactors. Reliving events and stories from down the ages. Thankfuly the weather failed to dampen the spirits and everybody had a wonderful time ...
